Caden Montes
Hello! I am a Pre- Business and Finance Major at The University of Nevada, Reno. I was born and raised in the “Biggest Little City”, Reno, Nevada. I am a hardworking individual that puts what’s most important first like family, friends, and God. I have always had a strength of never giving up on the things that I want to accomplish in life. I have always had a passion in owning my own company in the architecture field whether its supplying to or being a part of the field. I’ve also been employed at Port of Subs for the past year and a half where I have learned good customer service skills and good communication skills.
A few things I Enjoy
Sports
Sports have always been a huge part of my life whether its sitting on my couch and enjoying a football game with dad or being out there on the field and doing what I love most-to compete.
Games
When it comes to playing games, especially with my friends, I use it as a source of entertainment and a way to escape reality and not have to worry about in bit of stress that is hitting me in that moment.
Friends and Family
I most thankful for my friends and family that have been put in my life. They are the people that I can rely on. I enjoy being able to go to them for anything I need and not have to worry about them saying no.
Being Employed At Port of Subs
Given the opportunity to have Port of Subs be the first real job that I have ever had in my life has changed the way I act and behave towards people. It’s also given me a skill set that I previously didn’t have before I started working at Port of Subs. I’ve gained better communication skills and a lot better customer service skills, especially how to act when someone is acting a certain way you don’t really appreciate. After I was promoted to shift lead about halfway through the time I’ve worked there (1 year 5 months), I was able to gain leadership skills in being able to help people when needed and to train those who need it, especially the new hires.
